| TIM TEDROW & JOHN MICHAEL KAYE
|
Fueled by movingly sweet and powerful songwriting, inspired harmony vocals and breathtaking guitar work, TIM TEDROW & JOHN MICHAEL KAYE's pure folk sound brings to the Trough family of artists the depth and simple warmth of family and friendship. Songs such as "Steel Magnolias" and "Love's Alive" have captured the hearts of audiences large and small. A single radio appearance on the late Brian May's "Malibu Folk" syndicated radio program in 1994 generated calls and letters from all over the country from listeners who connected with this beautiful music.
Melodies as simple and memorable as the most classic American folk, and words of love, compassion and devotion are the hallmark of Tim Tedrow's songwriting. Tim's original acoustic stylings are well known throughout Southern California. A songwriter and performer for over 15 years, he is a regular performer at Citrus College's Summer Dinner Theatre program in Glendora, California.
A talented performer and songwriter in his own right, John Michael Kaye has played with various L.A. singer/songwriters over the years, most notably with folk and blues songwriter Erayna. Since joining Tim Tedrow in 1993, John has developed a musical rapport with Tedrow, both as a lead guitarist and harmony vocalist, which creates one of the most enduring, beautiful sounds of any folk duo currently working. A passionate performer and dedicated musician, Kaye is one of the most respected musicians currently working in the L.A. Acoustic Underground.
And now Trough Records is proud to have Tim Tedrow & John Michael Kaye as members of its family of worthy Los Angeles performers.
